Start with what you don't want. For goodness sake, once you have exhausted every bit of energy compiling your big list of what you don't want to manifest, review the list and pay attention to the opposites. This may help you identify what you actually want. Remember what you focus on expands; so focus your time, energy and resources on what you want to manifest in 2017.
Consider what actually worked for you in the past 12 months or so. Be honest with yourself about what did not work. Get a sheet of paper of set up something on your mobile device or laptop to capture what worked and what didn't. I used a sheet of paper.
Take note of positive and negative behavior patterns. Recall your motivation and intent for your actions, whether they succeeded or failed. Spoiler alert: If you want more success in the remainder of 2017, repeat what worked and avoid repeating the behavior that did not work well.
Choose only four big things you want to manifest in the remainder of 2017. Write down so much detail that you question whether you have emptied every thought in your head about your four big things. You need to know why you are doing it and when you are going to devote time, energy, and resources towards focusing on your four big things. Keep in mind you do not need to know HOW you will accomplish these four things. Share your four big things with four close supporters (not enablers). When we say what we want out loud tends to hold us more accountable and encourages us to take action.
Once you have documented the seven key areas of life as depicted in Zig Ziglar's wheel of life; Mental, Spiritual, Physical, Family, Financial, Personal, and Career, share your desires with folks within your trusted inner circle. This intentional act of assessing how close you are to achieving balance in each of the seven key areas of your life will most like bring clarity to the direction you choose to take.
Schedule a simple 10 day meditation period, and focus only on making the remainder of 2017 fabulous. Review your calendar and focus on the things you have on your proverbial plate. Determine where you can carve out at least 30 minutes each day over the next 10 days to focus on you. How does it feel to know you matter enough to dedicate a minimum of 30 minutes for 10 days straight? Keep in mind that some days it may be only10 minutes and some days it could easily be more than 30 minutes. Don't get distracted about the amount of time; only focus on the fact that you are carving out the time to mediate.
Now dedicate a quiet, uninterrupted space to mediate for 10 days straight. Write down the following questions before you start each session: 'What do I need to do to make the remainder of 2017 fabulous?' (Switch the word 'fabulous' for a word that works for you) and 'Who do I need to become to make the remainder of 2017 fabulous?' Once you have written the two sentences down, recite them in your head and then sit quietly. Make notes after the mediation sessions. Review and compile all of your notes after your 10 day mediation period ends and focus on clarity and action.
Confer with your trusted inner circle. Keep in mind that they may not be able to handle the new thoughtful you. Use their input appropriately. You are seeking their feedback on how they see you moving forward, how they have seen you hold yourself back previously, and what they thinki you need to do to overcome any obstacles.
A vision board is 'a way' to depict how you envision your ideal life. You may have heard it described as a 'mood board', 'dream board' or 'inspiration board'. All it is are a bunch of pictures, quotes, affirmations, and words that convey what you value and what you want. You do not have to spend lots of money on your vision board. It does not have to be an award winning work of art, it simply needs to be. Cut out relatable images that inspire you to move forward in the remainder of the year 2017. Place them in any order on your poster board.
Post your fabulous vision board where you will see it every day. One strategy I use is to determine the action I need to take within the next 30 days to see my vision manifested, create automated daily winning routines, and review my four big things consistently to ensure I am on track.
I am excited about your fabulous vision board. I look forward to hearing about your four big things. Send me an email at [email protected]
