During this conversation, Retired US Army Colonel Angela M. Odom discusses authentic leadership.
She served honorably in the US Army for 27 years and retired in the rank of colonel in September 2015. She served in various leadership roles which included command and control of integrated, male and female, Army teams and units.
After her military retirement Angela continues to serve. She is a certified personal development coach, published author, and owner of The Better U Project, LLC, a personal leadership training company. She is a leadership developer with extensive high stress, international and graduate level academic experience.
In this episode, Colonel Odom tells us how she became a senior leader in the military. Her overall lesson is that you don't have to abandon who you naturally are in order to be an effective leader, in any capacity. She has a fascinating and inspiring story. Take a listen.
