Last week when the US Senate passed the bill and sent it back to the US House of Representatives. I sat quietly, opened my notebook and documented a list of financial items that needed my attention.

Six Steps to Take Before You Spend Your Government Stimulus Money
1. List items that need to be paid or addressed; housing, transportation, food, work related incidentals, and debts.
2. Label them as either "needs" or "wants"
3. Associate a payment timeline with each listed item. For example, If you are behind on a payment, then you may need to pay a specific amount to remain in good standing.
4. Document total amount you owe as well as if you're allowed to pay a portion of the note to remain in good standing.
5. Calculate the total amount of money you currently have available
6. Sometimes paying debts bring a sense of peace. Make you decisions according to practical application and what will bring you peace.
Now that your money has a purpose. Follow Through and Pay Your Debts. Do something for yourself.

Sometimes, we remain in a work environment because we have enormous debts. Sometimes, we remain in romantic relationships because of the financial security. Sometime, we recognize that we are in co-dependent relationships with parents or other relatives because of financial transactions.
