Today is November 11, 2020 we celebrate Veterans Day! I urge you to share some semblance of gratitude with the military veterans in your life
The best thing about serving in the greatest Army on the planet for 27 years, 11 months, and 11 days is the men and women I had the honor to meet.
I loved serving and I love them. The crazy thing I've noticed over the past few years is the distance that's seeped into the nooks and crannies of relationships because of so much foolishness associated with how we view the world.
REAL TALK
Whether you wear a mask or don't believe they are effective, I still value our time together. Whether you support Trump or Biden, I still value our time together. Whether we served together when I was a private or a cadet in ROTC at the University of Southern Mississippi or somewhere along my military timeline; I value our time together.
The point is I'm grateful to have served and I value each of you.

I’m grateful to Jil Hinds and AARP-Georgia for this opportunity to speak with you today.
I participated in Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia with the XVIII Airborne Corps, in Operation Iraqi Freedom with Central Command in Qatar, and in Baghdad, Iraq with the 1st Cavalry Division. I served 27 years in the greatest Army on the planet. My name is Angela M. Odom and I am a proud Army veteran.

Happy Veterans Day!
A great big "Thank You" to our military women and men who have served our country with dignity and honor. Thank you for your service to our great nation.

Memorial Day, which is observed on the last Monday in May, was originally set aside as a day for remembering and honoring military personnel who died in the service of their country, particularly those who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained in battle.
While those who died are also remembered on Veterans Day, which is observed on November 11, Veterans Day is intended to thank and honor all those who served honorably in the military - in wartime or peacetime. In fact, Veterans Day is...
